31 members of the Executive Committee (COMEX) of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) will make the trip for the purposes of the World Cup in Qatar.
The Senegalese team qualified for the next World Cup will not be alone in Qatar. Aliou Cissé’s team will be accompanied by members of the Executive Committee of the Senegalese Football Federation. They will be 31 in number who will make the trip. Only Pape Sidy Lo and El Hadji Wade will stay in the country. They will ensure the interim of the FSF and in the process will manage the preparation of the local national team of Senegal which will take part in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) which will take place in January 2023.
“The question which is very poignant is that of accommodation, beyond questions of transport. We will go on a commando mission. It means that those who go to the first round will be useful and will have a role to play. And in the second round, we can hope with the state to have a greater number of Senegalese. But for now, we think it’s time to tighten the screws and focus on the goal.“said the president of the Fsf, reports les Echos. “We ask to understand that the team will be put in optimal conditions of concentration. We will ensure that those who need to be with the team are there and that they are useful. We have to create the right conditions so that our players are only obsessed with the result and can win the matches that will allow them to go to the second round and continue on their way.“Adds the boss of the FSF.
