A small update for Pages, Numbers and Keynote

after the exit from macOS Ventura and from iPadOS 16 last night, Apple this evening has small changes to make to its iWork office suite with Pages, Numbers and Keynote which go to version 12.2 and adopt some new features, some of which are dependent on the new Apple systems. These updates are offered on both macOS and the iOS and iPadOS couple.

Pages 12.2
• A brand new activity view shows recent changes to collaborative documents, including when people join, comment, or edit;
• Receive notifications when others join or edit your shared documents;
• Share a document in Messages to immediately start collaborating with your team and view updates directly in the Messages conversation (requires macOS 13);
• Send a message or initiate a FaceTime call directly from a collaborative document (requires macOS 13);
• You can now use the File menu to manage your shared document or send a copy;
• The new “Blank Layout” template allows you to easily create documents in which you can freely change the layout of text and images;
• A new option lets you automatically remove the background from an image to isolate its subject (requires macOS 13).

Numbers 12.2
• A brand new activity view shows recent changes to collaborative spreadsheets, including when people join, comment, or edit;
• Receive notifications when others join or edit your shared spreadsheets;
• Share a spreadsheet in Messages to immediately start collaborating with your team and view updates directly in the Messages conversation (requires macOS 13);
• Send a message or initiate a FaceTime call directly from a collaborative spreadsheet (requires macOS 13);
• You can now use the File menu to manage your shared spreadsheet or send a copy;
• Compare values ​​and associate text with new functions, including BITET, BITOU, EXCLUSIVEBITOU, BITDECALG, BITDECALD, WEEKNUM.ISO, CONCAT, JOIN.TEXT and PERMUTATION;
• A new option lets you automatically remove the background from an image to isolate its subject (requires macOS 13).

Keynote 12.2
• A brand new activity view displays recent changes to collaborative presentations, including when people join, comment, or edit;
• Receive notifications when others join or edit your shared presentations;
• Share a presentation in Messages to immediately start collaborating with your team and view updates directly in the Messages conversation (requires macOS 13);
• Send a message or initiate a FaceTime call directly from a collaborative presentation (requires macOS 13);
• You can now use the File menu to manage your shared presentation or send a copy;
• A new option lets you automatically remove the background from an image to isolate its subject (requires macOS 13);
• Remove or reposition the background of live videos for dramatic effect.
