AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT graphics cards revealed

Waiting for AMD’s official presentation next Thursday.

AMD will detail Radeon RX 7000 RDNA 3 next Thursday at 9 p.m.. We assume that the company will introduce several high-end references, as was the case for the Radeon RX6000 in 2020. The leaker chi11eddog, who has already shared confidential information in the past, mentions two cards XTX and XT; most certainly the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT based on the Navi 31 GPU. The first would carry 24 GB of VRAM, the second 20 GB.

In the same register, HXL posted on Twitter images of a Radeon RX 7900 prototype. The final design may be slightly different, with the addition of a back plate and the presence of a black rather than red heatsink. The 8-pin connector pair, on the other hand, will not be changed: Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager of AMD’s graphics business unit, confirmed recently that RDNA 3 GPUs did not use the PCIe Gen5 12VHPWR slot.

Radeon RX 7000 Specifications

According to previous leaks, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX has 12,288 stream processors and 24 GB of 20 Gbps GDDR6 on a 384-bit bus. The Radeon RX 7900 XT is said to have 10,752 stream processors and 20 GB of GDDR6, also at 20 Gbps, but on a 320-bit bus. Add to that an Infinity Cache of 96 MB for the XTX, 80 MB for the XT.
