Released last October macOS Ventura allows the iPhone’s camera to be used as a webcam for the Mac, which most of the time offers much better image quality than the small sensor built into Apple computers. To accompany this new software, Apple has teamed up with the props manufacturer Belkin, which has launched a MagSafe-compatible iPhone stand that attaches above the screen of MacBooks: it is sold €34.95 on the Apple Store.
In December, Belkin finally introduced a version for desktop Macs of its MagSafe support but it was only launched in the United States initially. The accessory is now available in France, at €44.95 on the Apple Store.
More complex than the small model for MacBook, this support can be adapted to much thicker devices such as iMacs or the Studio Display screen. Adjustable, it allows an adjustable angle up to 25° downwards. It is also compatible with 1/4″ screws, allowing it to be attached to any standard tripod.
