CAN U17 “ALGERIA” 2023 group stage draw: Senegal falls on Algerian cadets

Senegal knows its next opponents of the group stages of CAN U17 2023 who will take place from April 29 to May 19. The draw made on Wednesday placed the Cubs in group A of Algeria, host country of the tournament but also cadets from Congo and Somalia. The draw resulted in big duels in the four competing pools.

The Confederation of African Football proceeded on Wednesday to draw lots for the group stages of the next CAN U17 scheduled for April 29 to May 19 in the cities of Algiers, Constantine and Annaba which currently host the African Nations Championship. 2022. The Cadet Lions will cross swords with Algeria, host country of the tournament, Congo, absent for the last three years and Somalia which is going to its first participation in its history. group B will bring together Nigeria, semi-finalists of the previous edition, Morocco, eliminated in the group stage in 2019, South Africa, absent from the two previous editions and Zambia. Pool C will undoubtedly remain the toughest and will pit Cameroon, defending champion, Mali, crowned in 2015 and 2017, Burkina Faso, winner of the 2011 edition and Sudan, neophytes in this competition. The first two of each group and the two best 3rd all hens comfortable ndues will advance to the quarter-finals. The four semi-finalists will validate their ticket for the U17 World Cup which will be played from November 10 to December 2, 2023 in Peru.
