The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended the second half of 2022 (H2-2022) down, the index of all values, the Masi, losing 10.73% 19.75% to 10,720.25 points (pts) .
At the end of the 128 sessions of H2-2022, the Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI 20), an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 3.65% to 857.43 pts.
For its part, the benchmark Environment, Social and Governance index “Casablanca ESG 10” fell by 10.46% to 805.04 pts.
The chemicals sector ended the semester with a loss of -22.50%, followed by buildings and construction materials (-21.35%) and telecommunications (-20.17%).
On the other hand, the sector of forestry and paper recorded the strongest increase (+16.95%), followed by that of hardware, software and IT services (+9.12%) and that of mining (+8.51%). %).
The overall volume of trade reached more than 36.76 billion dirhams (MMDH), including 19 billion dirhams made on the block market.
Managem was the most active instrument of the month with 2.8 billion dirhams of transactions, followed by Attijariwafabank with 1.9 billion dirhams and Itissalat Al-Maghrib with 1.6 billion dirhams.
Regarding market capitalization, it amounted at the end of H2-2022 to more than 561 billion dirhams.
The biggest drops were recorded by Sanlam Morocco (-29.29% to 990 DH), Sonasid (-28.72%, to 520), BMCI (-27.50% to 354 DH), Total Energies Marketing (- 27.49% at 1,298 DH) and Disty Technologies (-26.06% at 210 DH).
The biggest increases were made by Lesieur Cristal (+27.78% to 230 DH), Managem (+24.08 to 2,530), Stroc industries (+ 22.03% to 39.72 DH), Stokvis Nord Afrique ( +20.85% to 15.71) and HPS (+20.37% to 6,500 DH).
