The Digital Women’s Day (JFD) has launched the call for applications for the “Les Margaret 2023” prize. An award aimed at encouraging women from Europe and Africa, engaged in technological bets that create breakthrough innovations to change the world.
(Cio Mag) – Women in Europe and Africa working in technology have until January 9, 2023 to apply for the “Les Margaret Prize”. This new promotion is placed under the theme “Invest in Her”. It is open to 3 categories: Entrepreneur, Intrapreneur and Junior, each of which will include a European and African winner. It targets women working in all sectors who develop digital projects, responding to societal and environmental issues.
The first category “Entrepreneur” concerns founders or co-founders of tech start-ups. The second “Intrapreneur” concerns women working for large companies and having developed an innovative project in agreement with their employer while remaining employed. The last “Junior” is intended for young girls aged between 7 and 18 who have an idea, a concept, a start-up project that responds to a problem by applying a technology or those who have developed a prototype. using one or more technologies. “Through their ability to take risks, women entrepreneurs are at the heart of the value creation of our societies. Launched in 2012, Digital Women’s Day (DWD) celebrates the creativity and audacity of female entrepreneurs. The awards ceremony for this promotion will take place on April 17, 2023 in Paris, France.
