FIFA Days: Naby Keita forfeit against Algeria and Ivory Coast

There will be no Naby Keita in the group of 24 national Syli players who will face Algeria on September 23 and Côte d’Ivoire four days later, as part of the FIFA days.

On Wednesday, to everyone’s surprise, Guinea coach Kaba Diawara called up Naby Keita for the friendly matches scheduled for the end of September. A decision that had surprised more than one and that Kaba Diawara had justified in these terms. “His situation is improving and he is even ahead of schedule,” he explained.

Only this Saturday, Liverpool said the opposite of the Guinean coach. According to the Reds, Naby Keita has a thigh pain and will not be available until the end of September. An announcement which immediately excludes the midfielder from the confrontations announced against Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire.

Remember that the match against the Fennecs is scheduled for September 23 and the match against Côte d’Ivoire on September 27.
