The RTX 4090 mobile GPU has found its way to the GeekBench 5 benchmark database. The app confirms its specs and offers some performance scores.
This high-end graphics solution has been tested using an “X370SNx” laptop computer. Its architecture is based on an Intel platform using a Core i9-13900HX and 32 GB of DDR5 memory. The graphics part is provided by a GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU which uses the same mechanics as that of the GeForce RTX 4080 Desktop GPU (16 GB).
Thus we find 9728 CUDA cores, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and a maximum frequency of 2040 MHz. All this gives us a computing power of 40 TFLOPs, roughly the power of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. The thermal envelope is calibrated at 150W with an additional power of 25W in Dynamic Boost.
Note that the performance is related to the cooling performance of the laptop. It is therefore possible that we will obtain even higher figures with other high-end computers.
To come back to our leak, this GPU scores a nice score of 210,290 points in the Geekbench 5 OpenCL benchmark. We are ahead of a GeForce RTX 3090 and not far from a Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
Nvidia signs a great feat by offering a laptop GPU capable of outclassing one of the most powerful desktop graphics solutions of the previous generation.
