Good news, the Samsung Galaxy S23 could be more durable than the S22

Despite its small format, the Galaxy S23 would manage to grab a few mAh for its battery.

You can love small smartphones as much as you want, they are often synonymous with a great concession: their autonomy generally leaves something to be desired. the Galaxy S22 is no exception and Samsung would like to improve this for its next batch of phones.

The Galaxy S23s may well add some 5% to the S22’s 3,700mAh, blast Sam-Mobile. This would bring us around 3885 mAh, with an increase of 185 mAh. On paper, not enough to fundamentally change the face of the world, because under 4000 mAh, smartphones tend to run out of steam relatively quickly. The iPhones, which are very well optimized, are a good counter-example and in addition to adding capacity, Samsung is no doubt also exploring this path.

Samsung accumulates mAh

We can also add to their credit the fact that the autonomies of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 have both improved considerably while the Z Flip gained “only” 300 mAh and the Z Fold did not see its accumulator gain in size.

By following Samsung’s recent activity a little, it is clear that the Suwon firm is focusing more and more on this theme of autonomy. The two models of Galaxy Watch 5 have seen improvements in this field, with the added bonus of a Pro model which touches on the two consecutive days of use.

And the other S23s?

According to information from Sam Mobile, the S23 Plus and S23 Ultra would not be affected by this 5% increase in their battery size. They would therefore retain 4500 mAh and 5000 mAh respectively. With the addition of the stylus in the hull of the S22 Ultra at the beginning of the year, it seems difficult to imagine how Samsung could still add elements, especially since the next phones should keep the same measurements.
