Concerned with supporting the social and ecological transition of public sector purchases, this online purchasing platform will mobilize the raising of 1.3 million euros, carried out with the Banque des Territoires and the business angel “BADGE”, in order to expand its equipment offering and accelerate its growth in France.
Founded in 2018 by Olivier Perron, the hello RSE platform aims to shake up the codes of e-commerce. A market in which the most visible offers are those that offer the best prices but also those that have been the subject of significant marketing investment. Referencing by price and availability constitutes “a real obstacle to the development of purchases geared towards more local players who are active in a CSR policy”, judge its founder. To break with this model, hello RSE is equipped with an algorithm based on the social and ecological impact of products and suppliers and also takes into account their local character. “While many regulations aim to guide local authorities towards more responsible purchasing, there was no tool allowing them to easily make more sustainable purchases. Today our objective is clear, to make over-the-counter purchases, which represent approximately 40 billion euros, more responsible”comments Olivier Perron.

In addition to furniture and IT products for public and private players, this platform offers many educational solutions, whether IT equipment (robots, visualizers, interactive video projectors) or educational equipment for schools. It thus allows municipalities to equip schools with eco-responsible materials, to develop educational and reasoned digital uses.
The winning platform of the class of 2022 of the “NA20” program will thus mobilize its fundraising of 1.3 million euros to strengthen its teams, and expand its offer to enable communities and schools to place CSR at the heart of their purchasing decisions.
