This is the most important meeting since the start of the season for Olympique de Marseille. This Tuesday (9 p.m., Canal+ Foot and RMC Sport 1), OM host Tottenham in a decisive match for qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League on the occasion of the sixth and final day of the group stage.
For this shock, the Marseille coach Igor Tudor recovers his central defender Bailly, expected to start. The Ivorian should start with Mbemba and Balerdi behind. In the corridors, the Clauss and Tavares pistons are expected. There is uncertainty in the midfield: where will Guendouzi play? Either the French international is aligned in an attacking role with Harit behind Sanchez. Either the former Arsenal player goes down a notch to take Rongier’s place alongside Veretout, and nder could then start up front. On the London side, Antonio Conte made the trip without Richarlison, Romero and Kulusevski, all in the infirmary. Former Parisian Lucas Moura could be associated with the Kane-Son duo in the Spurs attack. Here are the probable compositions of the two teams.
Marseilles: Lopez – Mbemba, Bailly, Balerdi – Clauss, Rongier (or Guendouzi), Veretout, Tavares – Guendouzi (or nder), Harit – A. Sanchez.
Tottenham: Lloris – D. Sanchez, Dier, Lenglet – Doherty, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic – Lucas, Kane, Son.
