Even if they look alike, the two new Xiaomi electric scooters are not aimed at quite the same audience. Find out more about the features of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro and 3 Lite.
It is Xiaomi who democratized electric scooters in France. Several years later, the manufacturer has become the leader in this segment. In particular by offering two wheels with excellent value for money. Now that the sector has developed, the Chinese manufacturer has taken the opportunity to expand its range. There are now scooters for all prices, with different technical specifications.
The proof, Xiaomi recently released two new scooters: Electric Scooter 4 Pro and Electric Scooter 3 Literespectively to 799 and 449 euros. A significant difference, which brings its share of differences. Enough to target two very different user profiles.
Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro: the manufacturer’s new Rolls
Rated 8/10 by the editorial staff of Frandroid, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro is the most high-end scooter from the Chinese manufacturer. It differentiates itself first with its powerful 700 watt motor. But what good is that when the speed is limited to 25 km / h in France? Such an engine makes it possible to climb the steepest hills, and to accelerate very quickly when the light turns green. This liveliness is also a guarantee of safety, because it allows you to reach maximum speed quickly.

However, this power does not come at the expense of safety. The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro has the advantage of carrying a good number of standard equipment which is reassuring. There are reflectors and lights at the front and rear, as well as a bell, to be seen and heard by other road users. It also benefits from larger tires (10″) than the manufacturer’s other scooters. These inherit a tubeless design (tubeless) much more resistant to punctures.
On the braking side, the double disc brake (with ABS at the front) offers enough bite to stop in a few meters without slipping. The plate also has the advantage of being relatively large and adherent, to be able to settle there without difficulty.
Pro version obliges, this Xiaomi electric scooter benefits from a very generous autonomy. Count on an endurance of about 45 km before having to go through the recharge box. This is enough to ensure long journeys, or to chain several days of use without being recharged.
Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 Lite: a more affordable model
If you don’t need such an abundance of power, Xiaomi has also announced its Electric Scooter 3 Lite. It’s not as powerful, but it too can go 25 km/h. It is simply less dynamic when it comes to acceleration, and slower on steep hills. That said, if your playground is flat, and the traffic does not bother you, its capacities are more than sufficient.

Even though the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 Lite is more affordable, it’s not on the safety side that concessions are made. The platform is a little less wide, but we still find the reflectors and the headlights at the front or the bell. The disc brake is still part of the front, with ABS. At the rear, however, it is a drum brake.
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 Lite has a lighter range of around 20 km. An endurance that remains sufficient for the majority of short urban journeys. Especially if you can charge it at the office.
Both models share the same folding system. The stem folds up on the deck, then locks with a mechanism. Something to take your scooter more easily with you.
Which electric scooter to choose?
