Mercato: Arsenal have found their missing link in the middle

While the winter transfer window has not yet started, Arsenal have already found their midfielder for next summer…

Four Four Two reveals that Arsenal have just made a nice move on the transfer market. The London club have convinced Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans, out of contract with Leicester, to join them next summer.

Out of contract next summer

Tielemans reportedly agreed with Gunners coach Mikel Arteta last January and couldn’t join the London club because Leicester were too financially greedy.

The Belgian international would therefore have taken his troubles patiently to complete his contract in June 2023 in order to join Arsenal for free.

Aged 25, Tielemans was trained at the RCS Anderlecht club for which he played as a pro from 2013 to 2017. He then joined Monaco but his move to Ligue 1 was a failure. Since 2019, he has been playing for Leicester and has relaunched his career in England perfectly, winning the FA Cup and then the Community Shield in 2021.

This winter, Tielemans should also appear in Roberto Martinez’s list of 23 for the World Cup in Qatar where he hopes to do better than the third place obtained in 2018.

Tielemans also in the sights of Juventus

Otherwise, Four Four Two explains that Arsenal would have beaten Juventus (a great specialist in signing free players) in the race to sign Tielemans.

But Juventus already have an alternative, according to the media Juve Dipendenzain the person of Sergej Milinko-Savic who plays at Lazio Rome.

The Serb is one of Serie A’s stars and is two years older than Tielemans. On the other hand, he will not be free next summer since he is under contract with the Laziale club until June 2024. His market value is estimated at 60 million euros.
