From the start of the 2022 academic year, Meta and Simplon.co will offer free training dedicated to metaverse and immersive technologies in four major cities: Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Nice. The objective will be to train around twenty students per city and per class, or around one hundred people in total for the first pilot year. Other cities and formations may follow.
For the first sentence, the program will consist of a session of individual intensive training from 3 to 6 monthsfollowed by a second phase from 12 to 18 months in alternation within partner companies of the school.
The training will be dedicated to two new professions in tension on the job market, identified within companies already engaged in the metaverse: that of designer developer specialized in immersive technologies (virtual, augmented and mixed reality) and metaversewhich is on the list of emerging professions identified by France Skills, and that of support/assistance technician, essential to the implementation, maintenance and deployment of equipment and use cases throughout the market.
This pilot program, accessible to all, aims to respond to companies’ demand for emerging skills and professions related to metaverses, but also to ensure that people from diverse backgrounds can take advantage of these professional opportunities. It will be based on all the technologies, equipment and software on the market and will aim for official certifications.
