Motorola has updated its razr foldable smartphone with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor for even more power, and equipped it with a 50-megapixel dual rear camera capable of shooting 8K video.
The new generation of motorola razr retains the compact, clamshell design of its predecessors, and incorporates a quality control system. 2.7 inch screen outside for quick access to notifications and functions such as messages, camera or payments.
When unfolded, it adopts a vertically elongated form factor, with a 6.7-inch screen with FHD+ resolution. which achieves a refresh rate of 144Hz. It uses P-OLED panel technology, which improves contrast and color intensity, and supports HDR10+ and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
In order to get the most out of the two screens of the Razr (2022), Motorola has… the hinge has been redesignedwhich supports opening the device at different angles. When fully unfolded, it has a split-screen feature to open multiple apps simultaneously.
The company has highlighted the camera of this smartphone. For one, the rear camera, the one that faces outward when the device is folded, has a sensor. 50 megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and macro lens, with the ability to record HDR10+ video and up to 8K, with 33-megapixel resolution.
Snaps from the outdoor camera can be previewed on the secondary screen, allowing them to be used for selfies as well. For selfies and video calls, however, the company described the one that sits inside the device when folded, with a 32-megapixel lens.
The Razr update also improves power over its predecessors. It achieves this through Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1that Motorola completes with a 3500mAh batterywith 30W fast charging, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
razr (2022) features a water and dust resistant design with IP52 certification, supports eSIM and runs Android 12. It will hit the market with a starting price of 50 euros. €1,199 on November 1, but since Tuesday it is available on motorola.co.uk.
