Navya has just signed a contract in the United States with the autonomous mobility supplier Beep, for the sale of 8 autonomous shuttles.
This new order from Beep significantly increases the size of its fleet and brings the total number of autonomous Navya shuttles in operation to 22. It will enable the Lake Nona, Fla.-based company to meet growing US demand for autonomous transportation solutions that conveniently, flexibly and cost-effectively address the challenges of not only mobility, development sustainability, but also security and staff shortages.
Since the beginning of its partnership with Navya in 2019, and the many projects carried out across different states, Beep has made autonomous shuttles and Navya technology a key part of its operations, with an ever-growing fleet allowing it to respond to the needs of both public and private organizations.
This new order is significant insofar as it marks a period of scaling up for Beep with an increase in calls for tenders around autonomous shuttles in the United States. The 8 new Navya vehicles will allow the American company to expand its reach and accelerate its growth while continuing to expand its deployments across the country. This will make it possible to cover new first and last mile services and projects in a variety of environments: communities, city centers, universities, airports, etc.
