OM: Bamba Dieng reinstated, Tudor loses the battle

Bamba Dieng is having a very complicated summer at OM. The Senegalese striker is still on the sidelines of the group but his reinstatement is imminent.

This Wednesday evening, OM will travel to the lawn of Tottenham for their entry into the running in the Champions League. Igor Tudor will therefore have to find the best solutions to allow his team to exist offensively. Because the departure of Arkadiusz Milik and the sidelining of Bamba Dieng could well end up causing harm to the Marseillais.

Moreover, the Senegalese should soon be reintegrated into the OM group during training sessions. For the moment, the striker shares the locker room with his teammates but still trains separately.

According to information from Provence, Bamba Dieng will be reinstated in the OM squad on Thursday. He is still in the re-athleticization phase and his lack of rhythm will have to be made up for. As the French media also specifies, the champion of Africa will first have to resume individually before returning to the collective sessions.

In recent hours, Pablo Longoria said about the African champion that he was going to have to be professional and give everything to change Igor Tudor’s mind. But internally, we are still looking for a way out in Dieng.

The latter wants to hang on and give himself the means to convince OM to keep him. As a reminder, Dieng recently failed the medical tests to sign in Nice at the end of the transfer window, after having accepted the Riviera proposal.

Back in Marseille, his status is not the most pleasant and does not necessarily do his business, a few months before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. In any case, he will now be able to train almost normally with the rest of his teammates.
