The end of the year seems particularly productive for the Oppo brand. Indeed, we are awaiting confirmation of the release of two folding models and the Reno9 series, at least for the Chinese market. It wouldn’t be ready for an announcement by the end of December, but rumors have it that the manufacturer is readying a new benchmark, the Oppo 98, a mid-range model that wants to play in an upper court. Here are all the details.
In all likelihood, the Oppo brand should formalize the new series of mid-range smartphones, the Reno9, at least for the Chinese market before an announcement next year of their availability for other countries. The models Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N Flip are also expected for an official presentation by the end of the year. the Find N2 should be an evolution of the Find N opening on an internal screen of 7.1 inches, like a book. The Find N Flip would use the folding principle of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, in the height direction. But it seems that the brand is also preparing a newcomer. It would be the Oppo A98 model which would join the other A-series mobiles and replace the current Oppo A97.
What technical sheet for the future Oppo A98?
It is once again the very well informed Digital Chat Station which publishes a message on the Chinese social network Weibo claiming thatOppo works on the A98 and that this one would have a curved AMOLED screen with a perforation in the center at the very top to make room for the front camera. The screen would have a Full HD+ definition, i.e. 1080×2400 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate at most. He would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, mid-range. The mobile is expected with a photo configuration never seen before on an A-series device as well as a very fast charging solution, here too, new for this range. He thinks he might have a 108 megapixel main photo sensor without having more details on the other modules mounted on the back of the smartphone. Her battery would have a capacity of 5000 mAh supporting the 67 watt load. We will see in the coming weeks if the brand is indeed presenting its new smartphones and if the A98 model is indeed part of the manufacturer’s plans to reach as wide an audience as possible.
