Senegal: 20 years later, Fadiga returns to the den

The coach of Senegal, Aliou Cissé, unveiled this Friday, September 16, a list of 29 players to take part in the next two friendly matches of the Lions of Teranga against Bolivia (September 24 in Orléans in France) and Iran ( September 27 in Austria). A list with seven new heads including Noah Fadiga, the son of former international Khalilou Fadiga.

A new Fadiga in the Lair

To compensate for the packages of Bouna Sarr, operated on his left knee this week, and Youssouf Sabaly, who suffers from a muscle injury, Aliou Cisse appealed to Brest player Noah Fadiga. This is the first time that the 22-year-old player, performing with Stade Brestois 29, has been called up by the Senegalese coach.

fadiga released a big performance last Saturday at the Parc des Princes against Paris Saint Germain. The player managed a great bridge on Presnel Kimpembe and provoked the fault of the Parisian defender in the area, to obtain a penalty, finally missed by the Algerian international, Slimani.

Between Belgium and Senegal, Fadiga opted for the Lions

Eligible to play with Belgium and Senegal, the native of Brugge has chosen to defend the colors of the Lions of Teranga. At 22, the right-back will discover the lair for the first time in his young career.
The Brestois has therefore decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, the former Senegalese international Khalilou Fadiga, vice-champion of Africa and quarter-finalist in the world in 2002.
