Indeed, Luis Enrique has already submitted his pre-list for the World Cup to the Spanish Federation. And inside, we find the name of Sergio Ramos. The PSG central defender could therefore be part of the trip to the World Cup in Qatar, which will start in November.

As a reminder, Sergio Ramos has clearly become a La Roja legend. Currently the most capped player in the Spanish jersey (180 caps), he has also managed to climb very high in the scorer rankings. He is indeed in the top 10 of La Roja’s top scorers, with 23 goals.

A chance for the World Cup?

The question now is whether Sergio Ramos will be one of the 26 who will play the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. If Luis Enrique included him in his pre-list, according to brand, he should not, however, call on him for the World Cup. The Spanish coach would favor other options.

Thus, Pau Torres (Villarreal), Iñigo Martinez (Athletic Club), Aymeric Laporte (Manchester City), Eric Garcia (FC Barcelona), Diego Llorente (Leeds) and Hugo Guillamon (FC Valencia) are in competition with Sergio Ramos. Other managers of the selection, Raul Albiol (Villarreal) and Nacho Fernandez (Real Madrid) do not appear in this pre-list.
