Successor to the excellent Bose QuietComfort 35 II, the QC 45 model remains one of the best Bluetooth headphones with active noise reduction today. During the French Days, it is possible to acquire it for 229 euros instead of 349 euros at Boulanger.
This French Days period is naturally conducive to good deals, and some highly coveted high-tech products do not escape promotions. This is for example the case of the Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless headphones, a worthy successor to the high-performance QC 35 II. If you finally want to get your hands on a model with excellent active noise reduction, now is the perfect time since it falls below 230 euros.
The essential points of the Bose QC 45
- A comfortable helmet
- Active noise reduction and transparent mode
- Multipoint Bluetooth
Initially displayed at 349 euros, then reduced to 269 euros, the Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless headphones are now offered at 229 euros at Boulanger once the product is added to the basket.

Its name isn’t just a marketing phrase: the Bose QuietComfort 45 is indeed comfortable. Its circum-aural format has a lot to do with it, since the headphones encompass the whole ear instead of simply resting on it, which could increase the pressure on the skull. We are therefore entitled here to a helmet that is pleasant to wear, even over time. Its shape memory pads are also there to maximize the comfort of the set, which weighs only 240 grams.
Regarding the design of this helmet, no major change compared to the previous version, the QC 35 II. We will therefore find the same lines all in roundness, as well as the same physical buttons for controlling the helmet. These will allow you to pause music, or adjust the volume. On the sound side, precisely, it will be of good quality, without necessarily surpassing that of the previous version. Note, however, the presence of an equalizer, which allows you to modulate the sound signature of the headphones as you wish. And if you want to be able to connect the QC 45 simultaneously to two devices (a computer and a smartphone, for example), you can easily do so thanks to multipoint Bluetooth. Switching from one source to another will be very smooth.
Bose, one of the masters of active noise reduction
It is often said that Bose is one of the behemoths of active noise reduction, alongside Apple or Sony. The QC 45 is a good representative of this technology, which has been refined here by the brand. The headset therefore incorporates four external microphones, in addition to the internal microphones responsible for reducing residual noise that would not have been erased by the passive isolation allowed by the circum-aural format.
As for the active noise reduction itself, it will be unsurprisingly very effective: it will very well attenuate the sounds of traffic, in the train or even those which disturb us a little in the open space. On the other hand, unlike what other models on the market offer, this active noise reduction cannot be modulated: either it is activated or it is not, and there will be no -of them. Small novelty, and not least: the “transparency” mode has appeared here. Concretely, it will allow you to clearly hear the noises around you, without having to remove the headphones from your ears.
The other notable improvement of the Bose QC 45 is the arrival of the USB-C port, after the brand kept micro-USB for its QC35 and the QC35 II. You can therefore use the same cable to charge your headphones as for your smartphone. As for the autonomy, moreover, this has been increased to reach 24 hours with the noise reduction activated, against 20 hours previously. For a full recharge, 2h30 will be necessary, but 15 minutes will be enough for you to enjoy your headphones for 3 hours.
