Almost a month after withdrawn the organization of CAN 2025 from Guinea Due to delays in the works, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the new timetable for the awarding process of the competition on Wednesday.

Thus, CAF indicates that it has formally sent a letter to all its member associations inviting them to express their interest in organizing the tournament. From now on, candidates have until November 11 inclusive to complete and send a declaration of interest form to CAF. They will then have to put together a file with various documents (organizational agreement, agreement with the host cities, government guarantees) which they will have to return to the Pan-African body no later than December 16.

Then, inspection visits will take place between January 5 and 25 in the countries concerned, then CAF will reveal its final choice at the end of its executive committee on February 10. The body is careful to specify that it could be one or more host countries since it encourages co-organizations.

As a reminder, Algeria has formally expressed its interest, the Morocco also unofficially, while the Senegal think about it too strongly.
