🔎 Xbox Series X spec sheet

The Xbox Series X is a next-generation home game console. It combines power, speed and compatibility. Thanks to the backward compatibilityit allows to play to thousands of games from previous Microsoft consoles like the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and even the original Xbox.

Among the significant novelties, the Xbox Series X supports the technology of ray tracing. The rendering of reflections and refraction of light is thus particularly realistic, making the graphics simply breathtaking.

In terms of power, the console incorporates a 4 times more powerful CPU than that of the Xbox One X and a GPU twice as powerful as that of the previous console, ensuring up to 12 TFLOPS of power.

This power allows the contribution of new technologies such as:

  • Variable Fresh Rate (VRR) which constantly optimizes the refresh rate of the images to ensure better sharpness
  • Variable Rate Shading (VRS) which allows developers to use GPU power more intelligently by reducing the shading rate in areas of images where it won’t affect visual quality
  • Quick Resume which offers the possibility of restarting a game that has been paused, even after a restart of the console
  • Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Dynamic Latency Input (DLI) which minimize latency and improve display speed.

Finally, the Xbox Series X controller has also been improved with a new shape more suited to players’ hands. The directional cross has also been revised to ensure better comfort of use.
