Here we go, the winter sales start this Wednesday in Cannes as everywhere in France. Discounts that should last until February 7.
This year, with inflation and energy prices on the rise, the sale craze may be less unbridled.
For several years, the City of Cannes has supported its merchants – its “open-air shopping center – in this crucial period with the Sales and the City operation which is celebrating its 5th edition. We explain everything to you in three points.
Downtown merchants will play the game of bargains and price tags during these first five days of sales. A piece of advice, identify your purchases in advance, put on flat shoes and establish a budget…
2. Cheaper parking
The objective being to create the best access conditions for these first days, which are always very popular, parking will be less expensive.
Notice to motorists: the car parks of the Cannes Parking municipal authority (Ferrage Meynadier, Lamy, Laubeuf, Palais, République, Roseraie, Suquet-Forville and Vauban) will offer a flat rate of €5.80 per day (compared to €5.50 l last year) from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Not to mention the 3 free hours on Saturday and 3 free hours on Sunday.
3. Pedestrianized Rue d’Antibes
Strolling around without the stress of car traffic is also more pleasant.
This is why the rue d’Antibes will be pedestrianized on Saturday January 14 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a soundtrack based on a playlist specially made with the help of the FNAC.
