Conducted during a year – from November 2021 to the end of October 2022 – this makes it possible to better identify the place of videoconferencing in the business world, and especially in the famous “next world”. It thus appears that the average duration of a Zoom meeting has remained stable overall, going from 54 minutes in 2021 to 52 minutes last year. The average number of participants has fallen significantly: Zoom meetings had on average 7 attendees in 2022, i.e. three less than during the previous financial year. In addition, screen sharing was used in almost half of the meetings (46.5%) according to the study.

According to figures released Thursday by Zoom, Meetings activity is concentrated in the middle of the week. Tuesday would thus be the busiest day in terms of the number of meetings, the use of conference rooms and the organization of hybrid events. And Wednesday is when the most phone calls, group chats, use of virtual whiteboards and organization of webinars are concentrated. In addition, and without great surprise, January 1 was the least busy in webinars of 2022, unlike February 24 occupying the first place in terms of peak audience.
